When faced with a serious criminal charge, it’s always important to have an experienced criminal defense attorney on your side. You need a DUI lawyer who can protect your rights, make sure you’re treated fairly, and who knows how to get results. Mike Sherman is that lawyer! Mike has over 29 years experience, including serving as an attorney with the Pennsylvania State Police for over 8 years. Mike knows both sides of PA DUI law!

From 1988 through 1996, Mike Sherman was an Assistant Counsel to the Pennsylvania State Police in Department Headquarters. For the first two and one half years, he prosecuted liquor code violations on behalf of the State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement.

In 1991, he became counsel to the State Police on all matters relating to law enforcement.

In 1997, he opened a law office strictly dedicated to DUI law and criminal defense.

Then, in 1999, he served as a member of the trial team that was appointed to represent the County of Allegheny located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the “Tobacco Litigation”. This was a multimillion dollar lawsuit against the nation’s largest tobacco companies. He sought damages for injuries caused to the county relating to payments it made for tobacco related illnesses.

His prior experience includes having handled cases before 30 County Courts of Common Pleas (County Trial Courts). He has appeared before each of the Pennsylvania’s Appeals Courts: Commonwealth Court, Superior Court, and Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Mike writes a textbook on PA DUI law and speaks to attorneys on different topics relating to DUI law. His firm is focused on Pennsylvania DUI law, with over 90% of cases involving DUI defense.

Mike Sherman Law for my case got the job done for me like clock work , he took me through every step of the way with no hassle and made me feel a lot better about my case. “Not too many people can say they wrote the book on DUI, but Michael has in fact done so. Michael has been a valuable source and mentor to many in the legal community. Some say that you can either teach or do. Well Michael has consistently demonstrated that he can not only teach fellow attorneys he can successfully defend those wrongfully accused in criminal court.”

Steven Townsend, DUI and DWI Attorney

“I’m an appellate lawyer. This means I am only able to work with what the lawyer before me did. Luckily, I’ve had the benefit of a Mike Sherman record. He tells a compelling story, makes spot-on objections, and knows the law. Mike is a fighter, and he does it with integrity. He won’t brag about past results out of respect for jurors, judges, opposing counsel, and his clients. If someone I know unfortunately faces a DUI in Pittsburgh, I recommend Mike Sherman.”

Theodore Tanski, Appeals Attorney
