Mike put together a panel of attorneys, scientists, and medical professionals. The event was attended by 130 Pennsylvania attorneys. During the program Mike answered questions and gave a presentation on updates involving DUI law relating to marijuana and drug cases.

Medical marijuana has changed the dynamics of Pennsylvania DUI cases. “Illegal” marijuana is a Schedule 1 controlled substance. Medical marijuana is not “illegal.” There have been several recent court cases that are extremely important when dealing with motorists who have a medical marijuana card, and they are pulled over for DUI. Mike talked about these recent developments in Pennsylvania DUI law. There will be another blog post to explain what the courts are saying in these new cases relating to marijuana DUI offenses.
